Where is God??

Written: Saturday, 9-18-10

After a lovely day today spent with [as Ian would say] the raddest people, we had a very interesting conversation with Landon.
Driving home Landon asked Derek and I, "Guys? Where is God?" We explained to Landon that we believe God is everywhere and in everything, including people. There was a long talk about the movie the Prince of Eygpt, which he kept calling "The Prince of Reject" followed by a pause. His mind was really going, and here is a bit of what was said on the journey home...

Landon: "Derek, can God be like a tornado?"
Derek: "Sure."
Landon: "So, God is like a tornado in your body? ...Like, when you adjust people is that like adjusting God ... because he's inside of your bones and the tornado goes out."
We talked about the connection between God, our bodies and Chiropractic. We then talked about God as a feeling or emotion, too. Landon and Derek compared it to seeing dolphins in Fiji. After about 10 minutes of more questions and answers we all and sat quietly, waiting for the next question.

Landon: "Guys? But...is God in BUGS??"
Me: "Yeah. Even in bugs Bubba."
Derek: "He's even in things you don't really like, like bugs and snakes."
Landon (after a long pause, IN A PANIC): "Mom! Sometimes I step on ants on the sidewalk, so really sometimes I'm stepping on GOD?!?!"
Derek and I laughed quietly, and continued on with the conversation making sure to tell him that anytime he had questions about God, he could ask us. Kids really are amazing.
